COURSE DETAILS
WSET 1 Online
The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is a 4 weeks online guided study, which is suitable for those starting a wine career or pursuing an interest in wine.
The course is based around a 4-week, 7 module online learning programme with a WSET educator support available for this time. The course modules should be followed in order, but students are free to complete the modules at their own pace during this 4-week window.
Each week includes a series of independent and/or group activities to help students understand the differences between grape varieties and types and styles of wine. All study materials are included in the online course, except for the tasting samples.
Regular access and participation in the course online activities is essential for this mode of study.
Students are advised to taste a range of wines during their studies, which can be found in the Recommended Tasting Samples of the Specification document.
Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
No previous knowledge is required.
It will be assumed that students have basic computer literacy, internet navigation skills and a good level of English.
Minimum age 18 required at time of booking.
It is recommended that the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines specification document is read before the start of the course.
