New to wine study? WSET 1 is an introductory wine course giving the fundamentals to start tasting wine systematically.
Learn and taste the most popular grape varieties and their wine styles. Study the principals to find the perfect wine and food match, know how to serve and store wines professionally.
WSET 1 at Eleanor Wine Academy:
- One evening per week for 2 weeks
- 1 Extra day for the Exam
- Certified WSET Instructor
- Course and exam in English

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines
Regular at wine tastings? Raise your wine knowledge with the WSET 2. Explore 70 wine regions, learn about 30 grape varieties and their distinctive characteristics. Taste 6(+) wines in each class and write tasting notes professionally as a sommelier would do.
The price includes the study material (textbook, workbook and WSET SAT card, examination and course fee).
WSET 2 at Eleanor Wine Academy:
- One evening per week for 6 weeks
- 1 Extra day for the exam
- Certified WSET Instructor
- Course and exam in English

Throughout the course, you'll study and be able to explain the factors accounting for the style, quality and price of the principal still, sparkling and fortified wines of the world. Taste 70+ different wine samples and styles, and obtain the highly regarded WSET 3 Wine Certification!

Hi, I'm Juliana, your wset level 1 & 2 educator
Juliana is a Brazilian wine enthusiast based in The Hague. With a background as a chemical engineer, she was a chemical weapons inspector at an international organization, a role that took her to about 50 countries. Along the way, she developed a deep appreciation for wine, tasting local varieties in each place and falling in love with the diversity of flavours, styles, and stories behind every bottle.
Driven by her passion, Juliana made a career shift and fully immersed herself in the wine industry. She completed WSET Levels 2 and 3 and now works as a wine sales representative in the Netherlands. She has a special fondness for aromatic white wines like Riesling and is always seeking out exciting bottles from lesser-known regions.
At Eleanor Wine Academy, she is excited to share her knowledge and inspire new wine lovers through the WSET Level 1 and 2 programs
HI, I'M HOPE, YOUR WSET LEVEL 1 & 2 EDUCATOR
Hope fell in love with wine while traveling the world and still loves exploring new regions at any chance. She is a WSET Diploma student, wine educator, and part-time business compliance consultant. While she has a soft spot for Spanish reds and whites from the Loire, when visiting home (USA), she always cracks open a California Cabernet Sauvignon with her family.
Hi, I'm Christie, your wset level 2&3 educator
Christie hails from South Africa where she was lucky enough to live wine both literally (through her home overlooking vineyards) and figuratively (through her career). Her passion for wine was ignited as a marketing student in the university town of Stellenbosch, a town that also lies at the heart of the South African winelands. Her wine journey has included stints as marketing manager for a winery, the running of a wine shop and wine club, hosting of wine tastings and dinners and the co-ordination of Women in Wine, an educational upliftment programme aimed at previously disadvantaged women working in the South African wine industry. She has travelled to many wine regions globally including those in South America, USA, New Zealand and Europe. Christie completed her WSET Diploma in 2017. She was a WSET Wine Educator in Cape Town and is excited to be able to continue to share her knowledge and passion for wine here in the Netherlands at the Eleanor Wine Academy!
