Payment Terms, Cancellations and Refunds
Payment Terms
Advance payment is required to confirm your booking for all classes and courses you sign up for.
Payment must be completed within 10 days prior to the course start date to:

Please note that we operate with limited availability. Registration is only confirmed once payment of the course fee has been received.
Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Law)
Participants have the right to withdraw from their booking within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with EU consumer protection law.
Withdrawal can be exercised via the online withdrawal function available on our website, without the need to create an account or log in.
If withdrawal is exercised within this period and before the course start date, participants will receive a refund minus:

a 10% cancellation fee, and
-
the value of any study materials already provided or delivered
After the withdrawal period, no refund applies except where required by mandatory consumer protection law.
Course Start and Attendance (In-Person Courses)
If a course has started, or if a participant has attended any part of a course, the service is considered to have been partially or fully performed in relation to the sessions already delivered.
Once participation in the course has begun, no refund will be granted for course days already delivered.
Missed course days cannot be substituted or rescheduled.
Course tuition and examination fees are non-transferable to other schools.
Transferability
Registration is fully transferable to another person for the same course and session, subject to eligibility and qualification.
Failure to Attend (Illness or Force Majeure – Participant Side)
No refund or credit is granted if a participant is unable to attend a course, exam, or part of a course due to illness, personal circumstances, or force majeure affecting the participant.
No substitution of course days is possible.
Interruption or Abortion of Course due to Force Majeure (Academy Side)
If, due to force majeure (e.g. pandemic-related restrictions), a course must be interrupted, remaining sessions will be postponed until restrictions allow continuation.
If a course is aborted by Eleanor Wine Academy due to force majeure, participants will receive a refund for the remaining course value, minus the value of study materials already provided or delivered.

The remaining course value is calculated proportionally based on the total course fee at the time of registration.
No compensation is provided for indirect or immaterial damages (e.g. travel costs, time off work).
Cancellation of the course by Eleanor Wine Academy
If the minimum number of 4 participants is not reached, Eleanor Wine Academy may cancel the course.
Participants will be informed at least 1 day before the start of the course.
The paid amount will be refunded within 7 days, minus the value of any study materials already provided or shipped.
Cancellation of WSET Online courses
WSET reserves the right to cancel or change course start dates.
Online participants will be notified at least 4 working days prior to the start date and a full refund will be issued if cancellation occurs before access or commencement of the course.
Once the online course has started or the online classroom has been accessed, no refund or transfer will be granted.
Return payments
If a refund is issued under these terms, the payment will be returned using the same bank account or payment method used for the original transaction.
No liability for loss or damage
Eleanor Wine Academy accepts no liability for loss or damage to clothing or personal property caused by third parties.
Change of a course starting date
The course date and location are clearly stated in the registration form and on the website.
Participants have no automatic right to change course dates or locations.
One free change of course start date is allowed if requested at least 4 weeks in advance, subject to availability.
Requests received less than 4 weeks before the start date require payment of a new course fee.
Change of an exam date
The exam date is set at the start of the course.
For WSET courses, exam date changes are free if requested before the course starts.
If requested after the course starts and up to 4 weeks before the exam date, a fee of €35 applies.
After this period, or in case of no-show, a new exam booking and full fee are required.
Exam fees and retakes
WSET exam fees:

Exam rescheduling fee: €130

No-show requires full rebooking and fee payment
Retakes are allowed until successful completion. However, retakes are not permitted beyond 1.5 years from the original course date. After this period, re-enrolment is required.
Online exams with remote invigilation
WSET Online exams:

Level 1: €95

Level 2: €130
Level 3 exams are not available via remote invigilation.
Cancellation or change of examination by force majeure
If an examination is cancelled due to force majeure, participants will be offered at least two alternative dates.
The right to sit the exam remains valid for up to two years.
No examination fee will be refunded unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
Exam results
The WSET provides limited feedback services on a paid basis for candidates who do not pass an exam.
Exam questions and answers are not disclosed.
Workshops, Masterclasses and Wine Tastings / Events
Cancellations and transfers are accepted up to 10 working days before the event.
After this period, bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Name changes are permitted with prior notice.
Eleanor Wine Academy reserves the right to cancel an event. In such cases, a full refund or transfer option will be offered.
Minimum participants: 10
Private group courses
Pricing is based on group size (1–6, 7–12, 13–18, 19–24 participants) and is clearly communicated at booking.
