About the WSET Level 2 Course at Eleanor Wine Academy
The WSET Level 2 in English at Eleanor Wine Academy consists of 6 engaging classes (3 hours each), with 1 extra hour dedicated to the final exam. Expect 11 hours of self-study and to taste a selection of quality wines approved by WSET standards in every class. After each class, students will receive a wine list, detailing the wines tasted, their quality, and pricing.
Led by certified WSET educators with international industry experience in winemaking, academia, and hospitality, this course is taught in small groups (max. 18 students), ensuring an intimate and interactive learning environment.
WSET 2 Course Content
The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines provides a comprehensive look at wines from across the globe. You will:

- Taste and analyze key grape varieties from famous wine regions
- Master professional wine tasting techniques with the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting

WSET Level 2 Exam
The WSET Level 2 exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 1 hour. The minimum passing mark is 55%, with certificates awarded for scores of 55-69% (Pass), 70-84% (Pass with Merit), or 85% and above (Pass with Distinction).
Wine Samples at the Eleanor Wine Academy
During each class, you will taste a variety of wines, approved by WSET to represent specific regions and grape varieties. On average, students will taste 6 or more wines per class, and the wine list will be provided after each session.
Course Fee
The price includes all wines tasted, classes, study materials, the exam, and, upon successful completion, your official WSET Level 2 Certificate and lapel pin.
Entry Requirements for WSET Level 2
While it is recommended that you complete the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines (or similar) before attending the WSET Level 2, a basic level of knowledge or experience in wine tasting is also sufficient to begin. Please read the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines specification document carefully before the start of the course. This course will be confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
