Wine Legend: Verite’ Le Désir

Le Désir is a Cabernet Franc-based blend, which gives exotic aromas and a pronounced minerality, .

This elegant and fine wine has a quiet strength at first that needs time to reveal all its delicate and mysterious layers.

To tell you a little more about this exceptional wine, let’s focus on the 2013 vintage.

In 2013, Sonoma County, the location of Domaine Vérité’s vineyards, had an ideal growing season. Very little rainfall during the winter and careful pruning and work in the vineyard kept the vines’ energy in check. Moderate and stable temperatures throughout the season and cooler nights in August helped balance the acidity and tannins.

The 2013 vintage is certainly one of Domaine Vérité’s top five. These wines are destined to age for at least 20 years or longer.
