Grape of the week: Grüner Veltliner 🥂

Let's talk about remarkable grapes! 🍇 We're excited to share our new grape of the week: Grüner Veltliner 🥂

It is a natural offspring of Traminer. The second parent remains unconfirmed, but it is thought to be a Century old variety discovered in St. Georgen in Burgenland.

It's by far the most important white wine grape variety in Austria✨✨✨✨ The regions where Grüner Veltliner is produced the most are: Niederösterreich, Burgenland (both in Austria🇦🇹), Hungary🇭🇺, Slovakia🇸🇰, and the Czech Republic🇨🇿

Grüner Veltliner delivers spicy🧂, peppery wines, or wines with notes of stone fruit🍑, with a mineral character🪨 and harmonious acidity.

Quality strongly depends on yields management and vineyards site🌿. The best wines can age well developing notes of honey🍯🐝 and ginger 🍠

A perfect food & wine pairing for Grüner Veltliner could be Artichoke, Grilled Asparagus, Turkey, Ricotta, Noodle Salads!😋🦃🧀🥢
