🍇GRAPE VARIETY : Melon de Bourgogne🍇

With the arrival of spring and sunshine ☀️we wanted to introduce you a fresh, light and fruity grape variety: Melon de Bourgogne (otherwise known as Muscadet)
Originally from Burgundy as its name indicates, this grape variety is widely spread over the valleys of the Loire (France🇫🇷)
The cool oceanic climate and the clay and silica soils of this region suit the grape perfectly. Resistant to winter frosts 🌨 Melon de Bourgogne appears as compact bunches with small yellow berries.
The Melon de Bourgogne is part of the grape varieties of Muscadet, Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine, Muscadet-Coteaux-de-la-Loire, Muscadet-Côtes-de-Grandlieu as well as the ordinary Burgundy wines.
Its fresh, mineral and light white wines will be perfect match with seafood.
This grape variety with aromas of lemon, grapefruit and almonds represents today nearly 11,000 hectares of vines in France
