Caiarossa is a complex blend of seven varieties: Syrah; Cabernet Franc; Merlot: Cabernet Sauvignon ; Petit Verdot; Sangiovese and Alicante🍇. The purest expression of Podere Serra all’Olio vineyard, in the high hills of the Tuscan coast 🌊
The name of Caiarossa was inspired by Gaia, goddess of fertility and of Nature, of the very Earth itself🌏
It was coined as a homage to the soil🌱, which is characterised by the presence of jasper, rock🪨 and pebbles intensely red in colour🌹.
Caiarossa is, indeed, a certified organic (since 2003) and biodynamic wine (Demeter, 2005) 🍷. Full and generous to the palate👅, the wine is balanced and fresh with thick layers of dark fruit🫐, crushed stone, tobacco and exotic spice🌶️
The beautiful estate is located near the city of Volterra. Acquired by Eric Albada Jelgersma (Chateau Giscours, Grands Crus Classés in Margaux, Bordeaux 🇫🇷) in 2004, Cairossa entered the world of quality wine✨ thanks to the decades of experience this family has🇳🇱🏆
