This red wine, coming directly from the Corno Grande mountain in the heart of Italy 🇮🇹 is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes.
This grape variety, extremely famous in this region of Abruzzo, has been worked according to an ancient Tuscan method.
This method, called "Governo all'uso Toscano", has created the powerful character of this wine. When the grapes in the vineyards have reached the right ripeness, 50% is harvested manually and classic vinified. The Governo all'uso Toscano method is used for the remaining 50%. This literally means cutting the branches. This stops the nutritional supply to the grapes. These grapes remain on the vines until the beginning of October. In the meantime, the grapes have dried a lot, after which they are also brought in. Because these grapes contain less juice, the flavors are much more concentrated.
That is what makes this red wine so unique.
