Pineau dâAunis is a French grape variety mostly planted in the vineyard of the âVallĂ©e de la Loireâ.đ«đ· Itâs a vigorous and fertile vine, and depending on how itâs grown, its lifespan can easily exceed 80 years. It is one of the characteristic grape varieties of the Coteaux du VendĂŽmois appellation, from which are produced the vins gris, typical of this region.đ·

For a long time considered as a low quality grape variety, it has come back in fashion since the 2000âs thanks to the care of passionate winegrowers who make very aromatic wines from it by limiting yields to concentrate its flavors. For its characteristic aromas, one often evokes raspberry and pepper.
