✨Wine Legend : Brunello di Montalcino Biondi Santi✨

At the same level with Romanée-Conti and Petrus, Brunello di Montalcino and its little brother, Rosso di Montalcino, have a history that goes back to the 19th century, when Clemente Santi was the first Italian🇮🇹winemaker to vinify the Sangiovese grape as such. His ambition: to produce a red wine for aging that could rival the best wines of France.

🍷The Biondi Santi estate was the first to create the Brunello di Montalcino appellation in the 19th century. Its wines have a proverbial longevity. The first vintages are still perfectly drinkable. His wines remain in a traditional register, without exuberance, with uprightness, even austerity.

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva 1995 (Bottle opened 24 hours in advance)
👃The nose has notes of roses and sandalwood. There's a slight undergrowth and violet. It is elegant. We are facing a classy product.
👄The mouth confirms this evolution of liquorice... But with tension and straightness. It is austere and evolves in a narrow beam of flavor. Decanting does a lot of good. Opulence in lightness, lace, class and length are present. The mouth vibrates and stretches.

✨A great wine that still has a lot to offer.
