Immerse yourself in this magnificent wine region!
Spain is a millenary country, located in the south-west of Europe with a strong food and wine culture! The country is one of the largest producers of wine, and Spanish wines are popular worldwide. Today, we focus on wines made in Ribera del Duero. The region extremely hot growing season together with its soils (sandy clay with chalk-limestone marl) produce a rich style of Tempranillo in both rosé and red wines. This grape variety gives a deep ruby-red hue with a bright red rim to the wine.
Let’s discover 3 fantastic Tempranillo wines from Ribera del Duero!
I. Le Rosé de Antídoto
2015 Le Rosé de Antídoto, is made from a blend of Tempranillo and Albillo, grown in San Esteban de Gormaz. Antídoto estate uses the pressing to only collect the flower must with which this rosé is made. This pale salmon wine has a strong identity given by a mix of the complexity and depth of the best red wines, and the refreshness character of a white wine. Bright, fine acidity on the palate, this wine lays out ripe red fruit notes.
