Days are so rainy this week, we are definitely in the mood for something warm and powerful for dinner tonight. We find that pairing slow cooked beef with red wine is a perfect idea. It’s a natural pair, where slowly cooked, melt in your mouth beef stew goes equally well with a glass of a bold wine, such as Syrah.
Our wine suggestion today is Syrah Las Colinas 2013 produced in Radio-Coteau, Sonima Coast, US. It is a bright, deep in colour, full-bodied wine with ripe, dark fruit aromas. On the palate it has elegant tannins and well balance. The rich, slightly spicy flavours of the beef will add to the fruitiness in the wine. Fatty notes will make the wine tannins smoother. All together will improve the overall mouth-feeling. And definitely warm you.
