The first WSET Level 3 Award in Wines course will start on March 04th 2020 at the Eleanor Wine Academy!
The WSET Level 3 course gives a detailed understanding of grape growing, wine making and the key factors influencing style, quality and price of the principal still, sparkling and fortified wines. Over 10 weeks, students will taste more than 84 types of wines. Course and exam are in English.
We are so excited to start the WSET Level 3 course together with our new teacher Jody Pollara.
Jody Pollara has a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from the University of Delaware and a Higher Diploma from SSTH Swiss School of Hotel and Tourism Management. She earned a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2007 and began practicing law. In 2015, she was looking for a new adventure and began taking wine courses through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, an international certifying body for wine professionals. She started a business called Swirl through which she hosted wine education and wine tasting events for the public. As she progressed through the WSET programs and grew Swirl, wine became her primary focus. Jody completed her WSET diploma in 2018 and started teaching WSET Levels 2 and 3 in 2019. She also became a WSET certified educator in November 2019. Jody believes that the study of wine is an amazing combination of the worlds of art and science and loves to share her passion for wine through education.
