The WSET Level 1 Awards in Wine is a beginner level introduction to wine suitable for those starting a wine career or pursuing an interest in wine.
For individuals new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately, and make food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.

The course is organized over 2 evening classes of 2,5 hours plus an extra day for the exam. The exam consists of 30 multiple choice questions to be answered within 45 minutes. The minimum passing mark is 70%, meaning that 21 out 30 answers must be correct.
The price includes all the wines tasted, classes, textbook, exam, and if successfully completed, you will receive the official WSET certificate and lapel pin!
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There is no prior knowledge needed.
However, it is recommended that the WSET Level 1 Award in Wine specification document is read before the start of the course.
