Eleanor’s WEBINAR Il Borro Wines

Il Borro is inviting you to e-tasting of Il Borro Wines with Salvatore Ferragamo on Thursday July 9th at 16h00, on Zoom.

Purchased in 1993 by Ferruccio Ferragamo, the Il Borro estate grows great varieties of both Italian and international grapes on the Val D’Arno hills at the foot of the Pratomagno mountains in Tuscany. This is a perfect place with a unique soil, where Il Borro produces grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot along with Sangiovese and Chardonnay. Each grape finds its ideal terroir along the land of the estate, where Il Borro implements organic production through the organic activities within its vineyards.

Attending the event, you will have a great chance to meet Salvatore Ferragamo and taste exclusively selected Il Borro wines such as Il Borro, Petruna, Lamelle and Bolle di Borro.

* Il Borro IGT Toscana Rosso 2016
50 % Merlot, 35 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 15 % Syrah, this wine is remarkable for its full and intense bouquet, and concentrated notes of under-brush and spicy notes. Il Borro IGT Toscana Rosso immediately stood out with its intense and concentrated bouquet, soft and greatly integrated tannins, and notes of spice.

* Petruna Anfora IGT Toscana 2017
100% Sangiovese. Large terracotta amphora are used for the fermentation. The wine is then matured in clay amphora for 12 months. This special winemaking creates a delicate, complex bouquet with notes of ripe red fruit and distinctive aromas from ageing in clay amphora.

* Lamelle, IGT Toscana 2019
100 % Chardonnay, this wine is fermented and matured in stainless-steel tanks to preserve its freshness and tropical fruity aromas with a hint of minerality.

* Bolle di Borro Classic Method Rosè 2013
100% Sangiovese, has the particularity to be matured on its lees for 60 months, which gives a creamy texture and juicy sour note to the wine.

The event will be hosted online by Zoom, which you can join easily from home or work.
