Wines of the islands!
Some of the world’s most interesting wines are the ones that are preserved by the seas. Natural disease resistance, focus on indigenous grapes, ancient and uninterrupted by modernization traditions - all of these happen to due the natural isolation of island wine terroirs.
One common thing most island wines have is the salinity brought by continuous sea breeze to the vineyards and expressed in the wine. The rest - endless diversity of indigenous grape varieties mostly unknown beyond the islands they come from.
